Making cakes is a passion of mine. Coming from a family of talented amateur chefs, I was excited by the opportunity of enrolling at Tante Maire School of Cookery to accomplish a cordon bleu diploma.
During which I was introduced to the art of cake decorating and excelled in this speciality, achieving the end of year prize for baking and cake decoration. After graduating I worked in Kitchens, which included periods on patisserie sections. I continued baking for friends and family, until I realised my ambition to design and make cakes. I gained valuable experience in London working for some of the country’s top cake designers. I went on to establish Hertfordshire wedding cake company Emily Jane Cakes in 2010 creating beautiful wedding cakes, cookies and cupcakes for all occasions.
My aim is to continue to combine beautiful designs with exquisite flavours using the finest ingredients.
I also specialise in ‘free from’ cakes, after several friends expressed their frustration at the lack of tasty gluten free, dairy free and vegan cakes on the market. I have spent years perfecting my cake portfolio, so everybody can enjoy my cakes.
